Bio:
My first CrossFit style workout was at the University of Missouri’s Recreation Center in September 2009. I did the “300″ workout, and continued to do that same workout 3 times a week, until finally someone came over to me and said “if you like that workout so much, you should checkout crossfit.com.” I looked into CrossFit, found a gym in my city, and immediately got hooked.
I moved to Bogota after graduating in December 2009. My dad had been working in Colombia, and I had been here once before to visit him. I showed up at CrossFit Bogota in early January, and immediately knew that I wanted to coach. I hung out everyday, watching and learning everything I could, and got certified to be a CrossFit coach in April. After competing in the 2010 CrossFit Games, I spent 10 weeks in Chicago, coaching at Atlas CrossFit while my VISA paperwork processed.
I have always been involved with sports, and being an athlete has always been my main focus. In high school, I played basketball for two different teams, volleyball, soccer and football. When I didn’t make the basketball team in college, at the University of Missouri, I decided that I wanted to be involved in any way possible, and spent 3 years as a student trainer/manager. Our basketball team won the Big 12 division Championship, and made it to the national tournament, where we finished our run in the quarter finals (Elite Eight). Now, CrossFit is my sport, and being the best CrossFit athlete and coach is my focus.
