CrossFit Level 1
CrossFit Level 2
I was introduced to Crossfit by a close friend of mine who trained at Crossfit Bogota. The results he got were amazing and I wanted the same for me since I was tired of going to the gym and getting stuck with average results and doing the same routines. The next week I signed up for my first demo class: like everyone else, I ended up on the floor trying to catch my breath right after I yelled “Time!”.
It didn’t take much longer to realise this was something I loved and I signed up for 3 months, then 6 and then a year, then two. And here I am, on my 5th year of doing Crossfit. I’ve never felt so great with myself, and never been healthier. I understand now my body as a very complex machine capable to do amazing things. I’ve been sore in muscles I didn’t know I had, because I never really used them or never took advantage of their capabilities, and it feels amazing!
In October 2014 I decided I wanted to take my passion for this sport to a next level and I decided to get my L1 certificate, which made me feel more certain that Crossfit is a way of life I wanted to maintain for as long as possible, and I wanted to help others discover the benefits of it and make them part of the Crossfit Bogota family. I know there’s a lot more to learn and I want to take advantage of all the insights I get everyday and share them with the community.
I once heard in CrossFit, the magic is in the movements, the science is in the explanation, the art is in the programming and the fun is in the community, and I think those are the best words to describe it. It’s hard to tell if I like it more for its ideas of fitness, the feeling you get when you finish your WOD, the progress of the athletes, or the camaraderie built around it. I’ve been to many boxes when I travel and I always feel very welcome and related to the ambience and the workouts. Today, I can gladly say that I have met amazing people at the box and I have shared many great memories both working out or hanging out.
In 2015 I went to Carson as I signed up as volunteer at the CrossFit Games, that was one of the best experiences I´ve ever had. Getting a close look at the athletes, the backstage, working and helping to make the Games happen was an extraordinary feeling that brought me closer to the sport of fitness. In 2016 I went back and It was even more fun, can´t wait to do it again and learn from the greatest community ever.
I feel very proud and lucky to be a member and coach at Crossfit Bogota, this is my second home and I’ll do everything I can for everyone to have fun, get the best of their workouts and performing them in the safest way.
